WoW Guide For Gold – The 3 Main Ways to Get Gold in WoW Plus 1 Tip
The three main ways are farming, using your trade skills and playing the Auction house. All three have their pros and cons. I’ve had the best luck with gold when I combined the first and second. The third I just started but it is a lot less time consuming, but more expensive because you must buy to sell.
1. Farming. There are two ways to farm for gold in wow. One is when you go out and kill the mobs that drop gold, sliver and copper (Not very efficient in my opinion) (because there isn’t a mob that drops a gold), or when you go out and kill the mobs that drop crystallized fire, water, earth, air, etc. (the better way out of these in my opinion). All of this you sell on the auction house.
2. Trade skills. Using any of your trade skills like enchanting, blacksmithing and leather working etc. Offer your services in trade chat, which is (/2 in chat) for any of the crafting professions. They will most of the time give you a tip. It depends on your realm and how much they ask you to do and if you go to them or they come to you. But on my realm of Uldaman the average tip is 10 gold. The next is using your gathering professions: mining, skinning and herbalism, just gather them and sell them on the auction house. (This is a good way to make some money)
3. Auction House. Playing the auction house. What you do here is buy stuff that is up for auction and turn around and sell it for a profit. Your ultimate goal is to get a monopoly on a certain item so you can set the price this is next to impossible to do but if you can pull it off; you will never half to worry about money again.
The tip is if you are a skinner and you’re farming skinning materials you will get green, blue and some times purple items otherwise known as epic’s. Don’t just sell them to a vender. If you have an enchanter or know someone who is; then disenchant them and sell the mats on the auction house. Currently on my realm of Uldaman infinite dust is selling at 7 gold, 70 silver for 1 dust, a stack of 20 dust runs 145 gold (P.S.) don’t break the epics they sell for more that that abyss crystal would.
